About Integral Yoga
The style of yoga I teach is known as Integral Yoga. Compared to "athletic" styles, Integral Yoga offers a more gentle, reflective approach. Each class is built around a simple series designed to take the body through its natural, full range of motion. This gives us a balanced, familiar routine, allowing us to gradually work more deeply in the poses and to develop a practice we can do on our own. Along with this, we also include a few variations and alternate poses each class, so we can gradually broaden our knowledge and find the poses that are best for our bodies. Finally, rather than assert a single "right" way to perform a pose, Integral Yoga emphasizes the principles and objectives behind each posture, helping us find the alignment and variations best suited to our bodies. The result is a simple but powerful practice that fosters health, mindfulness, and relaxation that we can learn to make a regular part of their lives....
